Christmas Eve when Brita and I were going for our photo shoot we took one of Ari's favorite balls to his resting place.
Here is Brita checking Ari's resting place out.
The antlers on the back didn't work.. I reminded myself they are not angel wings!
so you you think she likes the attention!!
What a ham!
What can I say.. she actually seemed to have fun with these and figure out ways to get them off before I took a picture.
And the dapper scarf!! With a German Shepherd pin... can you get any cooler?
No Brita does NOT like to pose for the camera....
On the way to the photo shoot we had to do some training... position change seemed good. STAND first
SIT...
Platz...
Stand...
Platz.... elbows hit the ground... YES!
Back up the hill...
Ari's ball on his resting place.
Brita likes to bury things and here she found something...
...her tiger...
...let's see ... a new place to hide it...
yup!
Yes it really is a German Shepherd! Olivia vom Drachenberg 10.5 years old.
Olivia does not like to have her picture taken... usually.. she actually seemed to enjoy this...
...so I snapped away!
wow...look at all those colors!
Christmas Day - Kobie with her new squeaky which is the shape of a peppermint patty because Kobie is the chow hound!
Christmas Day and Olivia's squeaky is a pretty pink one because she's all girl.
Christmas Day and Brita's squeaky is a tug which she promptly took outside and buried. I took her to the door and told her to get her toy not knowing where it was. The third time she trotted to a large pine tree and dug it up. It's probably back there now.
I felt like we were being watched by the cardinal in the tree and it made me think of Ari.
Great Lakes Vet sent these flowers.
Joshua need to have something special so he got some of his favorite chips.. doritos!
Then Christmas dinner.. Olivia and a knuckle bone.
Brita and her knuckle bone for Christmas Dinner. In the evening I saw her trotting around the house looking for a good place to bury this and settled on a bean bag chair under a blanket!
And of course Kobie with her bone.
And the mourning dove was outside also...
1999 - I thought I'd go back through some Christmas photos.. This was Ari's first encounter with the guy in the red suit. He got pretty excited!
1999 - They love their stuffies and this Christmas stuff is new to Ari who is 6 months old. Josephine is a bit over 8 years old.
2001 - New on the scene were Teddy and Olivia and they were really not sure of what was happening.
2004 - Josephine is gone now but Kobie and Tori are the new kids on the block
2005 - Stuffies are the customary Christmas present and Ari loved to play with them. This year I missed the crazy running around he used to do.
2006 - A more mature group. Santa is not new to them.... Olivia, Ari, Kobie and Teddy
2008 - Christmas Eve - Ari and Brita run in the yard! I take pictures!
2008 - Christmas Eve - More running... they had a blast!
2008 - Ari's last Christmas...
PEACE.....
